Vrksasana

A standing balance that builds focus; keep the standing leg strong.

  1. Shift weight into one foot; lift the other heel.
  2. Turn the lifted leg out; place foot on inner ankle, calf, or thigh (not on knee).
  3. Hands at heart or overhead; find a steady gaze.
  4. Press foot and standing leg toward each other; breathe.
  5. Release slowly; repeat on the second side.
